Castlevania Fighter

The Castlevania saga, with 30 years behind it, includes dozens of games of various types, though there's a special place in the hearts of its fans for the 2D titles for 8- and 16-bit consoles (as well as Symphony of the Night and the DS/3DS games, obviously). Castlevania Fighter brings together the most popular characters from those games to face off against the games' most iconic villains – or against each other.

The game, developed with the MUGEN engine, is a complete fangame that's covered even the most minimal details. As you'd expect, the arcade mode has you running through maze-like settings, except you have to face a sequence of difficult monsters using your own agility and the special moves for each character.

As this is at heart a fighting game, it lets you play all 28 available characters, among them several illustrious members of the Belmont family, in the inevitable versus and training modes as well as a cooperative mode where you face the end-of-level villains in pairs.
